To celebrate John's 101st birthday, a member of the Care Home staff, who (amazingly) was a former pupil at the Harwich High School, where Dad taught, was in touch with the school and managed to prompt former pupils and colleagues to send their memories and best wishes. A couple of articles also appeared in the local press.

These are just a selection of some of the items sent to John at that time and which gave him enormous pleasure.

It has to be said, however, that not everyone's recollection was perfect!
